Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains how BAMF.ai ("BAMF", "we", "us") handles data across the BAMF.ai ecosystem: the web app, the macOS desktop app, the CLI/API/MCP server, the BAMF Chrome companion, and our Claude, ChatGPT, and Codex plugins. By using any BAMF.ai product you agree to the practices described here.

We built BAMF around one rule: nothing posts, sends, or connects on your behalf without you asking for it. Every generation, sync, or publish is either something you triggered directly or something you explicitly approved.

What the Chrome extension accesses

The BAMF.ai V2 Browser Companion extension reads page content only when you take an action that needs it — for example, asking it to summarize a post or draft a reply. It does not continuously monitor or log every page you visit.

When you ask the extension to draft a comment or message inside a composer (LinkedIn, X, or similar), it reads that specific thread so the draft has the right context. It does not read unrelated tabs or background browsing.

When you explicitly attach browser context from the companion, BAMF receives a narrowly scoped, read-only receipt for that active session. It does not copy browser credentials, cookies, or storage into BAMF.ai, and it does not authorize LinkedIn or other provider actions. You can revoke a receipt from BAMF.ai.

Email open and click tracking

If you enable email tracking for outreach or campaigns you send through BAMF, we use standard open-tracking pixels and click-tracking links to report engagement back to you. This is opt-in — tracking is only active on messages you send through a BAMF-connected mailbox with the feature turned on.

Google API Services User Data — Limited Use disclosure

Where BAMF accesses Gmail or other Google Workspace data on your behalf, our use and transfer of that information adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve the specific BAMF features you enable (such as email send and open/click tracking), we do not use it to serve ads, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties except as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

Data we process and who processes it

Account data, content, and workspace data are stored with Supabase, our database and backend infrastructure provider.

Content generation is powered by OpenAI and Anthropic, who process the prompts and content you generate through BAMF solely to return a result to you.

Public LinkedIn profile and post data used for research and inspiration features is retrieved via Apify.

Scheduling and publishing to connected social accounts (LinkedIn, X, and others) is handled through Late, our publishing infrastructure partner, and Zernio for platform connections and scheduling.

Transactional and notification email is sent via Resend.

Each processor only receives the data needed to perform its function and is bound to protect it.

Human-in-the-loop social posting

BAMF does not autonomously post to LinkedIn, X, or Instagram on your behalf. Every post, comment, reply, or connection action BAMF prepares is queued for your review, and it only goes out when you approve, schedule, or send it yourself. This applies to AI-generated drafts, scheduled posts, and any agent workflow.

Retention and deletion

You can revoke connected accounts (LinkedIn session, Google/Gmail access, and other integrations) at any time from your BAMF account settings; revoking stops future access immediately.

To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at support@bamf.ai. We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Children's privacy

BAMF.ai is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use BAMF.ai. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our products change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
